While the card offers a strong defensive option with Taunt and potential value with the Deathrattle summoning a Fel Beast, it faces stiff competition from other high-cost Warlock minions like Voidlord, which offers more consistent board presence. However, Deathrot Maw could still find a home in certain slower Warlock decks that can reliably trigger its Deathrattle effect for value.
