This card would be a great addition to a Mech Mage deck that focuses on board control and dealing damage to multiple enemies at once. However, there are better cards like Blast Wave that can provide more consistent board clear and value in a Mage deck, so Gaia, the Techtonic may not see play in competitive decks unless the meta shifts towards a more Mech-centric strategy.
