A Hunter tempo or midrange deck with a focus on disrupting the opponent's game plan would benefit from running Rat Trap. While it may not be the strongest Secret available, the potential to summon a 6/6 Rat for only 2 mana can create a significant swing in board presence. However, other Hunter secrets like Freezing Trap or Explosive Trap may offer more consistent value depending on the meta, making Rat Trap situational at best but still worthy of consideration in the right archetype.
