Supernova would be particularly beneficial in a Mage deck focused on spell synergy, especially those that capitalize on low-cost spells for quick damage or board control, such as a Tempo or Spell Mage deck. While there may be other cards that generate spells, such as Sorcerer's Apprentice or Fireball, Supernova's ability to fill your hand with low-cost spells can be more advantageous in certain scenarios. Whether it should see play depends on the current meta and how well it fits into your overall strategy, but it certainly has potential in spell-centric decks.
