The Gold Panner card would be beneficial in a control or midrange deck that aims to draw more cards and maintain card advantage throughout the game. While the card draw effect is useful, there are better options available such as Acolyte of Pain or Loot Hoarder, which provide immediate card draw upon being played. Gold Panner may not see play in competitive decks due to its slow effect compared to other more efficient card draw options.
